House on Wheels

Distance travelled: 445 kms
Pace: Left Osoyoos early so we could get to our friend's at a decent time.
Highlights: Lunch at the Nancy Greene Provincial Park, both boys napping in the van, view after incredible view of the most amazing section of our province! What a beautiful BC!
You are where?: Cranbrook, BC. The last stop in our home province before we introduce the boys to Alberta.
Jericho's favorite: Playing with new friends he will have for the rest of his life.
Malachi's favorite: Being able to sit in the front of Clementine! But... he fell asleep 5 minutes later.

This morning started around 6:48 am. We all comfortably woke up and had a great sleep. We wanted to get on the road quickly (after packing everything up which is a task in and of itself). There were quite a few stops which was nice seeing as it was so beautiful, you couldn't help but stop. Grand Forks, Castlegar, Greenwood, Creston, and Cranbrook were all so lovely.

Clementine was pretty tired after today. We had to cross several summits and it was a lot of uphill. Honestly though, we left Osoyoos at 8:30 am and arrived in Cranbrook around 6 pm local time. Everyone was tired.

I do have to mention a cute thing Malachi said this morning. He has decided to christen Clementine as a "house on wheels" because she has beds and wheels.

We also saw two deer and yesterday the boys were feet away from a chipmunk and Mommy almost ran over a bear. We'll have a wildlife report from now on.

Currently, Nate and Dan have gone for a midnight ride and Sarah and I are chatting.. We don't see each other near enough and it's so good to have some quality time with those we love! They have lived here for 3 years and this is the first time we've been able to come stay with them.

We will be here until Saturday morning so I may blog tomorrow, I may just be having fun!!
